Consultations in Sunbury cover the full range of Dr Anavekar’s practice — from skin cancer management and hand surgery through to breast, body and facial surgery. Surgery itself is performed at accredited private hospitals, with your procedure discussed and planned during your consultation.

Sunbury consulting rooms make specialist plastic surgical care accessible to patients across the north-west, including Gisborne, Macedon, Riddells Creek, Diggers Rest, Bulla and the surrounding Macedon Ranges — without the travel time into central Melbourne.
If you would prefer to be seen sooner, or on a day that suits you better, Dr Anavekar also consults at her main rooms in Bulleen. Both locations are managed by the same team, and your care is continuous between them.
Dr Namrata Anavekar obtained her medical degree at Monash University, graduating with honours, before gaining a position on the plastic surgical training program in Victoria. Her training included rotations at St Vincent’s Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital, The Alfred and The Austin, and she completed her training in 2012.
She subsequently undertook an overseas fellowship in Switzerland and France, focusing on maxillofacial surgery, head and neck surgery, rhinoplasty and aesthetic surgery. During that fellowship she worked alongside Professor Bernard Devauchelle and Professor Sylvie Testelin, the surgeons responsible for the first face transplant.
Dr Anavekar is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and has published research in plastic surgical journals as well as textbook chapters. She established Evolve Plastic Surgery & Skin Clinic in 2018. Read more about Dr Anavekar.

Some of these procedures may attract a Medicare rebate where specific clinical criteria are met. This is discussed during your consultation.
A referral from your GP or another specialist is generally required to see Dr Anavekar, and is a government requirement for any Medicare rebate to apply. A referral from a GP is valid for 12 months; a referral from another specialist is valid for three months.

Consultations take place in Sunbury or Bulleen. Dr Anavekar operates primarily at Warringal Private Hospital in Heidelberg and St Vincent’s Hospital in Kew. Which hospital is used depends on the procedure and will be discussed with you before any surgery is booked.
