Our rooms are on the right side of Manningham Rd if you are heading towards Doncaster, opposite Nido Early Learning Centre.
Parking: there is onsite parking for up to six cars. If the car park is full, free on-street parking is available in Noelle St, less than a two-minute walk from the rooms.
The Bulleen rooms are convenient for patients across Melbourne’s north-east, including Doncaster, Templestowe, Balwyn North, Ivanhoe, Heidelberg, Kew and Eltham.
Dr Anavekar also consults approximately fortnightly in Sunbury for patients in Melbourne’s north-west.
Dr Namrata Anavekar obtained her medical degree at Monash University, graduating with honours, before gaining a position on the plastic surgical training program in Victoria. Her training included rotations at St Vincent’s Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital, The Alfred and The Austin, and she completed her training in 2012.
She then undertook an overseas fellowship in Switzerland and France, focusing on maxillofacial surgery, head and neck surgery, rhinoplasty and aesthetic surgery, working alongside Professor Bernard Devauchelle and Professor Sylvie Testelin.
Dr Anavekar is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), and has published research in plastic surgical journals as well as textbook chapters. Read more about Dr Anavekar.
What “specialist plastic surgeon” means. Since September 2023, the title “surgeon” has been restricted under Australian law to practitioners holding specialist registration in surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, or ophthalmology. Dr Anavekar holds specialist registration in plastic and reconstructive surgery. If you are comparing practitioners, the AHPRA public register lets you check any practitioner’s registration type.
Skin clinic treatments are provided at the Bulleen rooms and include LED therapy, hydro dermabrasion, chemical peels, CO2 fractional laser and skin microneedling, alongside injectable treatments, bio-remodelling and Rejuran.
LED therapy is offered to Dr Anavekar’s surgical patients to support scar management and healing, and is available at the Bulleen rooms only.
A referral from your GP or another specialist is generally required, and is a government requirement for any Medicare rebate. GP referrals are valid for 12 months; specialist referrals for three months.
A referral is not required for a consultation to discuss injectables or other facial aesthetic treatments.
Dr Anavekar operates primarily at Warringal Private Hospital in Heidelberg and St Vincent’s Hospital in Kew. All surgery carries risks, which are explained in detail during your consultation.
