A thigh lift is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the thighs, reshaping the silhouette of this area.
Why undergo at thigh lift?
Often following significant weight loss, the skin and fat of the upper thighs can sag. A thigh lift can address this surgically and improve self-esteem.
What does it involve?
During your initial consultation with Dr. Anavekar, you will have the opportunity to discuss your concerns and goals related to undergoing a thigh lift. She will ask you questions and perform a clinical examination to ensure you are fit for surgery and to formulate a plan for you.
Dr. Anavekar will discuss the operation with you, as well as the potential risks involved. The surgery will be performed at an accredited private hospital under a general anesthetic provided by a qualified anesthetist. Your thighs will be wrapped in bandages, and you may have small drain tubes inserted during surgery to remove excess fluid. You may be required to stay in the hospital for 1-2 nights.
What happens after surgery?
You will then have review appointments with Dr. Anavekar & her practice nurse post surgery during the first 6 weeks. Additional review appointments may be scheduled, as deemed appropriate, after that.
