Skin Lesions
As a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, Dr Anavekar is trained in the management of numerous benign and malignant skin lesions. Benign lesions such as cysts, moles and seborrheic keratoses can often be promptly treated in the rooms.
Australia has one of the highest incidences of skin cancer, but fortunately early detection often enables a successful result. Malignant lesions, such as squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs), basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) and melanoma, can sometimes be treated in the rooms, but often may require more complex treatment.
At your initial consultation with Dr Anavekar, she will discuss the surgery involved in successfully removing any skin cancers, and any reconstructive options which may be required. She will also be involved in your ongoing surveillance, alongside your GP and/or dermatologist
